George Dilboy Memorial Stadium Renovation

George Dilboy Memorial Stadium, a premier athletic facility for over 15 years, required a critical renovation due to aging infrastructure. As an Associate Principal at Warner Larson Landscape Architects, I played a key role in revitalizing the stadium. Addressing safety concerns stemming from a failing synthetic turf field and a worn running track, I led the design and construction efforts. We replaced the existing turf with a high-performance synthetic turf and plant-based infill, installed over an impact attenuation layer for enhanced player safety. The perimeter track drainage was repaired, the running track resurfaced, and ancillary site improvements implemented to improve player comfort and reduce maintenance demands.
