Stoughton High School
The original Stoughton High School was built in 1923 and was no longer suitable for current learning standards and outdated site layout. This brand new state-of-the-art, world-class High School was constructed on the existing property. Careful planning and site layout was required to construct the new building within 30’ of the existing school, which was still in use during construction. The site design was able to incorporate a new natural grass athletic field with synthetic resilient running track, a synthetic turf athletic stadium with LED sports lighting and concession plaza; and five tennis courts. Along the building various small outdoor flex areas were designed allowing for classroom learning and breakout spaces. At the heart of the school a small exterior courtyard was designed to allow natural light to flow into the building and provide students easy access to an outdoor environment between classes.
